Getting to the pro level requires a strong resume, and at minimum it is necessary to have quality junior stats. If you are looking to play pro and earn a salary, you will need to have a minimum of NCAA collegiate level experience. For others looking to prove themselves in pro with a lower resume, it may require playing a year where you are covering some of your expenses. Once you show that you can play and compete at that level, teams will be willing to offer you a higher contract.
