Frequently Asked Questions

The journey to acquiring an advisor commences with a simple email inquiry, where you reach out to us to explore our services and how we can tailor them to meet your needs. Following this initial contact, we arrange a complimentary consultation call, affording you the opportunity to delve deeper into our approach and offerings, while allowing us to gain insights into your aspirations and objectives.

Should our discussion resonate with you and align with your goals, we proceed by crafting a personalized roadmap plan for your athlete, accompanied by our service contract, thereby formalizing our partnership and initiating our collaborative journey towards your success.

Deciding if you need an advisor depends on your unique situation. If you’re a talented player but not catching the eye of the right coaches or programs, having an advisor can make a big difference. We help promote our clients to the levels they aspire to reach, connecting them with opportunities that might otherwise go unnoticed. That’s the core of our service – helping players advance to the next level by ensuring their talent gets the recognition it deserves.

Our approach varies for each player we work with. Primarily, we focus on player management and facilitating placements with their preferred teams. This involves extensive time spent at rinks, on calls, and online, nurturing our network and advocating for players’ transitions. Additionally, we offer mentorship and coaching, scheduling regular calls to assess their progress, offer guidance for improvement, and outline long-term plans for their development.

Typically, advisors offer packages ranging from $500 to $5000 annually, with costs varying based on the selected package and duration of enrollment. Clients seeking additional personalized services or add-ons may incur higher expenses compared to those opting for basic packages. On average, our clients invest in packages priced between $1000 and $3000.

If you encounter an advisor who promises to secure your desired spot in a particular league, we advise approaching with caution and conducting thorough research on their background. In the tightly-knit hockey community, maintaining credibility is paramount, and we refrain from making unrealistic guarantees. While we don’t offer assurances, we pledge to diligently support our clients in their pursuit of their goals and offer alternative options as contingency plans, ensuring we exhaust every avenue to help them succeed.

Each of our advisors has, at a minimum, played at the junior and collegiate levels, with approximately half boasting professional hockey experience. We take pride in assembling a team rich in expertise, ensuring that our advisors always prioritize the best interests of our clients above all else.

In Canada, the premier Tier 1 junior leagues are the WHL, OHL, and QMJHL. In the USA, the top Tier 1 league is the USHL. Notably, Tier 2 leagues in both countries include the NAHL (USA), BCHL (British Columbia), AJHL (Alberta), along with several other mid-level leagues such as the NCDC (USA), SJHL (Saskatchewan), and the OJHL & CCHL (Ontario).

Beyond skill level, a key distinction between NCAA Division 1 (D1) and Division 3 (D3) lies in scholarship offerings. While D1 programs can provide athletic scholarships, D3 programs are unable to offer financial aid directly tied to athletic prowess. However, in D3, students may qualify for academic aid, which can help mitigate tuition costs.

In NCAA Division 1 (D1), scholarship allocations are diverse and personalized, varying on a percentage basis for each player. Elite athletes may receive a ‘full ride,’ encompassing 100% scholarship coverage throughout their four years. Conversely, other players might be offered varying percentages such as 50%, 25%, or similar, contingent upon the team’s discretion and resources.

To be eligible to participate in NCAA sanctioned sports, athletes must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.3. Furthermore, the NCAA employs a sliding scale, factoring in both GPA and SAT/ACT scores to assess eligibility. This system allows for flexibility, as higher GPAs can offset lower SAT/ACT scores, and vice versa. Additionally, certain teams may establish specific GPA requirements that players must meet each semester to avoid academic suspension.
